The Centrists Narrative Empowers the Right
Pay attention to what they say...
Earlier this week an Indiana podcaster released a pod that was an interview with Democratic Secretary of State candidate Beau Bayh. What I hoped to be an informative interview turned out to be a bashing of those of us categorized as “the far left.”
At least six times during the 55-minute pod those of us on “the far left” were accused of, attacked, and labeled as those who share and post social media hate.
Not one time during this podcast was the Maga World, or the far right, called out or identified for their hateful rhetoric, not once, only us on “the far left” were called out.
The podcaster said that “the majority of Republicans want the same thing that Democrats want.” The podcaster said that “Republicans would love to work with Decent Democrats” I would love to know what the podcasters definition of a “Decent Democrat” is? Why was the term Decent Republicans not used? Talking to a republican is not a terrible thing, talking to a MAGA is an impossible thing! Conversation is needed. The problem that I have with the narrative of those like the podcaster is the way they attempt to paint a picture that it is us Progressive Democrats who are the problem, you know “the far left” and that somehow Republicans, their policies, their hatred, and their resistance to listen to us Democrats, us Libturds, us Snowflakes, us Baby K*llers are decent people who want to listen to what we have to say. ! Give me a break.
At one point the podcaster gave an example of someone online had asked, “why do we talk to terrorist?” we must get them to like us. To expand on this the podcaster referenced when President Obama and his meeting with Putin. The podcaster went on to reference a few comments that President Obama wrote about in his book about the meeting. The podcaster stated that this is how we solve problems by talking to people we do not like, we have to compromise with people, and we need to elect people that understand that. “Obama met with Putin Y’all” I found it interesting that nothing was said about the current President and his reception of Putin on American soil in August when an active arrest warrant for war crimes had been issued for Putin by the International Criminal Court. I found this segment very Bizarre indeed.
A couple of “hard questions” were asked. Or should I say they were presented as such. Beau skated around them, did not answer them directly and deflected away from them. The podcaster did not push back or continue to seek an answer. It had weird similarities to a Hannity interview with forty-seven. Extremely disappointed. As Hoosiers we need answers to why Beau is accepting donations from some of the Republican out of state Billionaires who are school voucher advocates. We need answers, not deflection. We need to KNOW!
Near the very end the podcaster referred to themselves as a “Progressive” I beg to differ. The podcaster is without the shadow of a doubt a CENTRIST, at best. This was not a pod created or published by a Progressive. As a Progressive I take offense to the podcaster claiming this.
Centrists have done more damage to the Democratic Party with their lack of action and their passive approach. They have empowered the right.
I am tired of being accused as divisive and creating dissension as A Progressive for simply speaking out. Progressives have had ZERO representation in this State! ZERO! The divisiveness with the IDP has not been created by Progressives! Far from it! The dissension within our party comes from the gatekeepers and the centrist who refuse to listen to a growing movement in our Country and in our State!
Our time is NOW! We will not remain silent and will not go away. Over 20 years of not having a voice in Indiana policy making has led us to where we are today! Enough is Enough!
In Unity There Is Strength!
Beau Bayh’s father Evan is the National Leader of the No Labels Party. Centrists to the very core. People need to pay attention to what is going on here.

Trevor Noah interviewed Zohran Mamdani on Trevor’s December 2025 podcast . He observed [starting around 20:30] that “It feels like Conservatives have been good at imagining and hoping while Progressives or however people want to describe people on the Left side of the spectrum have adopted this idea ‘Let’s just keep it working well - you can’t really change much’”
Mamdani’s reply: “It seems like Republicans have a limitless imagination, and as Democrats we’re constructing an ever-lowering ceiling of possibility. We are robbing ourselves of ambition and imagination and we’re telling people that their choice is between settling or sacrifice. And neither of these are enough. You have to have an affirmative vision of how life can be better than this because this life already is suffocating people.”
So then go to DeModerates like Bayh (who is just like his father, and to the right of his grandfather Birch Bayh], who REALLY can't imagine saying anything even mildly risky or creative.
These weak-ass feckless “moderates” would have us hand every penny of our lunch money over to the bully, but if we punch the bully back, then WE’RE the problem. Ridiculous.
