My Home Town

Wabash, Indiana

So this happened tonight in a small community just 45 miles southwest of Fort Wayne. A community of 10,000 people. That once was a proud manufacturing hub of small factories and hard-working blue collared workers. We thrived throughout the 50’s 60’s and 70’s. It was an awesome environment to grow up in.

If it wasn’t for the Honeywell Foundation. Wabash is the hometown of Mark C. Honeywell, the founder of the Honeywell Corporation, this place would truly be a Shithole town.

We have pretty much lost all manufacturing plants and factories. Those that still remain are low paying and not worker friendly. We have a huge drug problem in our community. Our city Government is 100% Republican.

What we do have is an abundance of churches. last time I checked we had over 30 places of worship in a community of 10,000 people. We have far more preachers and clergy in this town than we have doctors, dentists and optometrist combined.

I'm ashamed of my community, my small town. I'm scared at what the future holds for all of us, but mainly for our children and grandchildren. This is getting way out of hand. The extremists are taking this to a level that Our Country has never witnessed on this large of a scale.

Be safe my friends. Stay the course. continue the fight. Democracy Is worth It!
